Meet the Owner

Amber Mari is an artist, entrepreneur, and creative visionary. Born and raised in Norwalk, California, Amber’s lifelong passion for art and creativity led her to pursue a career in special makeup and creature effects for the last 10 years. 

After highschool she attended Makeup Designory's master program to study a wide range of makeup techniques. In 2017, she founded Amber Mari Creations, a company dedicated to creating high quality special makeup and creature effects for film, television, and commercial productions. Her team of skilled artists and technicians specialize in designing and creating prosthetics, animatronics, and more to help bring characters to life, as seen in films like Appendage (directed by Anna Zlokovic). 

Amber’s passion for creativity and entrepreneurship has driven her to empower others to explore their own creativity. Through her business, Amber offers workshops, training, and coaching to aspiring artists, helping them take the next step in their creative journey. 

Her mission is to help people become more creative and feel confident in creating a business out of their passion by providing them with the tools and resources they need to unleash their imagination, and express themselves through art. Amber believes that everyone has the potential to be creative and encourages her clients to experiment with their ideas.

Today, Amber Mari Creations has become a trusted provider in makeup and special effects services in the film industry working with names like 20th Digital, Disney, Hulu, Billie Eilish, 88rising and more. Amber continues to expand by inspiring and coaching artists to pursue their passions as real professions.
